About Thunder Sons

Thunder Sons Coffee Company started with an observation, not a business plan: almost every real conversation begins with someone saying, “let's grab a coffee.” It's how people catch up, open up, and let their guard down enough to actually talk. I've always had a heart for walking alongside people in that kind of space, and over time I started to see coffee itself as common ground — a reason to sit down with almost anyone.

That's really why this business exists. Coffee already builds community, and I wanted to serve that community — and through it, share the gospel with people I might never have met otherwise. Every bag we roast is meant to do more than taste good. It's meant to open a door.

Our name comes from Mark 3:17, where Jesus gives James and John the nickname “Boanerges” — Sons of Thunder. It's a small detail in scripture, but it stuck with me as a picture of bold, wholehearted work. That's the standard we hold our roasting to: no shortcuts, no filler, no coffee we wouldn't drink ourselves.

Every bag is roasted to order in small batches right here in Broomfield, Colorado — I don't roast until you order — then logged by hand and packed by me, not a warehouse crew.
